When is the best time to book a tour?Early mornings are best! The earlier you go, the calmer the waters and the better the visibility, which is especially important if you're sensitive to motion sickness. While the mornings offer a smoother ride, rest assured that sea turtles are active all day, so if you choose a later time, you’ll still have plenty of opportunities to see tropical fish, sea turtles, and maybe even dolphins as we head out to the ocean.
-
Do I need to know how to swim? When it comes to enjoying our snorkeling tours, it's important to feel comfortable and confident in the water. While knowing how to swim is highly recommended, we understand that not everyone may be experienced. That's why all of our snorkel guides are lifeguard-certified and will be with you in the water the entire time for extra support and safety. Additionally, we provide snorkel vests for everyone to wear as an added safety precaution, ensuring you can relax and enjoy the experience.
-
Is parking available at the harbor? There is a paid parking lot directly across from Pier A, available for $2 per hour. We recommend arriving 30 minutes early to secure a spot, as the lot is small and tends to fill up quickly.
-
Are turtle encounters guaranteed on the tour? While it's extremely likely you'll encounter turtles on our snorkel tour, we can't guarantee it 100%, as Mother Nature always has the final say. Let’s just say it's about a 99% chance!
-
What is included on the tour?We supply all the necessary snorkeling gear for your tour, including a mask, snorkel, snorkel vest, and fins. Complimentary cold soft drinks are provided, but you're welcome to bring any other refreshments you'd like. Throughout the tour, you'll be accompanied by both a captain and a guide to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
-
What should I bring on the tour? While we provide snacks and beverages on our tours, you're welcome to bring your own water or a small snack if you'd like. We have a cooler on board to keep your items cold throughout the tour. We also recommend bringing a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, camera, sunglasses, and wearing your swimsuit before the tour starts. Additionally, you might want to bring a light jacket or hoodie, as the winds can pick up during the boat ride.
-
Can I bring my own snorkel gear?Yes. You are more than welcome to bring your won snorkel gear.
-
Am I allowed to tip the crew?Yes, of course! While tips from our guests are always appreciated, they are never expected. Gratuity is not included in the original booking price.
-
What is the cancellation policy? We have a firm 24-hour cancellation policy. To cancel or reschedule your tour, please do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure. After this time, we will be unable to offer a refund or make any changes to your booking.
-
What is the refund policy? If you cancel your tour within the 24-hour window, you will receive a full refund. However, if your ticket was purchased through a third-party provider, we are not responsible for issuing refunds. In this case, you'll have the option to rebook your tour, and we recommend checking the cancellation policy of the third party for further details.
-
Is there an age limit on the tours? For safety reasons, we require all participants to be at least 5 years old. This age limit is in place because we operate a high-speed boat, and your safety is our top priority.
-
Can I touch the turtles?Absolutely not! NOAA regulations are very strict, requiring everyone to stay at least 10 feet away from the animals at all times. This rule is in place to protect the animals in their natural habitat and ensure your safety as well.
-
How many people does the boat hold?We limit our tours to just 6 guests to ensure a more personal and comfortable experience, allowing for closer interaction with both our crew and the wildlife.
-
Will I see dolphins on the tour? There's always a chance to spot playful spinner dolphins on our tours! They're most commonly seen during our morning trips, especially in the summertime, as we head toward our prime snorkel spot. Note: Federal law in Hawai'i prohibits swimming with, approaching, or getting within 50 yards of spinner dolphins.
-
Will I see whales on the tour?Humpback whales migrate through Hawaii from December to April, so if you book your tour during these months, you’ll have a great chance of seeing them in action.
-
